About the Ministry

Success in this role means young adults are finding a place to belong, growing as disciples, developing as leaders, and becoming increasingly connected to the life and mission of Asbury.

It also means Asbury is developing stronger relationships with its surrounding community, creating meaningful entry points for people who are unchurched or dechurched, and equipping the congregation to live more fully into its calling of Caring Within and Reaching Out that all may know Christ.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will bring a genuine love for Jesus Christ, a passion for people, and an ability to turn ministry vision into meaningful relationships and experiences.

Key Responsibilities

-Develop and implement a compelling vision and strategy for a thriving young adult ministry, including regular gatherings, spiritual formation, and community-building opportunities.

-Build authentic relationships with young adults, helping them grow in faith, leadership, service, and meaningful participation in the broader life of Asbury.

-Recruit, equip, and support volunteer leaders who can help expand the reach and effectiveness of young adult and outreach ministries.

-Lead outreach and evangelism efforts that connect with unchurched and dechurched individuals through accessible ministries, classes, events, and other community-focused opportunities.

-Develop partnerships with local organizations, churches, campus ministries, and community leaders while cultivating a church-wide culture of invitation, hospitality, and outreach.

-Collaborate with pastors and ministry staff to manage budgets, evaluate ministry effectiveness, identify opportunities for growth, and ensure compliance with applicable Safe Sanctuary policies and procedures.

-A heart for evangelism and reaching people who are not currently connected to a church.

-Strong organizational and leadership abilities.

-Experience building teams and developing volunteers.

-A collaborative spirit and ability to work effectively with pastors, staff, volunteers, and community partners.
