The ideal candidate has a strong background in church financial management and is fluent in QuickBooks and bookkeeping practices. This role is perfect for someone who’s served as a treasurer or finance administrator in a church office and is ready to bring their expertise to a virtual environment. As the go-to liaison for clients, this candidate excels in communication, relationship building, and ensuring clarity in financial systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their financial systems are clear, timely, and tailored to their needs.
- Oversee bookkeeping systems, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and reconciliation, and offering strategic guidance tailored to client needs.
- Act as the liaison between the bookkeeping team and clients, facilitating smooth communication and workflows.
- Train clients on financial tools like QuickBooks, providing guidance on best practices to optimize their systems.
- Build and maintain trust-based relationships with clients, delivering exceptional support and problem-solving expertise.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in church or nonprofit finance, with a strong grasp of bookkeeping practices.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and familiarity with church-specific software like Breeze or Planning Center.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a client-focused approach to problem-solving.
- Self-motivated and highly organized, capable of managing multiple clients and deadlines in a virtual environment.
